Oct Meeting

Seven Members had an autumnal walk in Itchen Country Park.  We tried to identify leaves and trees.  A number of members sampled blackberries, and tasted sloes, while others tried to identify different berries.   Several different fungi were seen but not named, we decided homework was needed over the winter for a test in the spring!!!

The next meeting is at Normandy Marsh by Lymington swimming Pool.

The September walk to Eyeworth Pond was a disappointment as only one member came.   We had a quick walk and managed to see a Mandarin Duck, and lots of berries/

The next walk is at Itchen Valley Country Park,which is just off Allington Lane at West End/Swathling, on 25 th October.

This maybe the last walk for sometime.
