January Meeting

The January meeting was held at Testwood Lakes. Six watchers took part, and we saw 37 different species, including a very unusual bird. I think it has escaped either from Paultons park or the Broadlands Estate. On studying the books I think it might be a Vietnamese Edwards Pheasant .
We also saw a female Siskin, several Gadwell, Kingfisher, Lapwing, Shovler, Potchard.
the next Meeting is on
25th February 2011 at Blashford Lakes 10 am.

Eight of us enjoyed a walk around the Lower Test Reserve. We managed to spy 41 species. The high lights being a number of obliging Stonechats, several Little Grebe, and a flock of Siskin. There was also the wonderful sight of a Swan in flight.
No Waxwings seen but one member had a photo of waxwings in her garden, nevertheless we managed to see a flock in our garden this morning!!!
