30th September 2011 Salmon Leap

9 nature lovers met at Salmon Leap for the September meeting, on a hot and sunny day. 21 species of birds were seen. The high lights being, Chiffchaff, Grey Heron, Little Egret, Greater Black Backed Gull. Also a Chetti's Warbler was heard.
Other things seen included a dragon fly quartering the pond. A very dead frog!!
Flowers noted (without our resident botanist) included Deadnettle, Flag Iris, Crabapple, Red Holly Berries, and a number of Blackberries picked.
