Birdwatching in Lower Test Nature Reserve

A beautiful morning and an early start for the bird watchers first meeting at Salmon Leap. We were met by Mike Adams who conducted us along the board walks of the Lower Test Nature Reserve to several vantage points overlooking the marshland islands. A total 27 birds were spotted and named with the characteristics sounds of some species identified. An enjoyable and educational morning.

Mike Adams the bird group expert has just telephoned to say that he has received a hospital appt forFri 19th the date of our next meeting. The date has therefore been brought forward to 12thAugust 9.30 at Testwood Lakes.
