Six nature watchers managed to see about 24 species of birds including the Sand martins in the special sand bank, buzzard, goldfinch, pied wagtail, oystercatcher, lapwing, shellduck,and Canada geese.
4 species of butterfly, and several darter/dragonfly.
The plant species identified included speedwell, bluebells, ragged robin, pink champion, cow parsley and white nettle.
A hare and a rabbit also caught attention.
There was a discussion on wave formation on the water, combined with the wind, naturally!!!

The next meeting is at Lower Test Nature Reserve on 29th June, meet by the Salmon Leap Pub, just off Testwood Lane.
