October

Despite the damp and drizzly day, the weather did not stop the Nature walk at Rhinefield from being enjoyed. Bird species were hard to find, but some Gold Crests entertained for a while. The tall trees of the oriental walk were admired and discussed. Evidence of the wet summer was present in the form of a number fungii found. Discussion on which were edible was amusing. In the Arboretum we studied the tree names from around the world. The Autumn colours were beautiful. The next walk on 30th November is at Eling. Meet at the Toll bridge at 10am
