24th February & Next meeting details

5 U3A members met at Eling on an overcast day. We managed to see 22 species of birds. The highlights being Oystercatcher, Blacktailed Godwit Shellduck and Egret. Of the plants, I think, the Snowdrops were the favorite. They seem to be everywhere. There were also crocus, primroses and celandine, so spring must be on its way!!

The next meeting is in the forest at a new venue.Meet at Whitefield Moor off the Rhinefield road, near Brockenhurst. From the Lyndhurst/Christchurch road it is on the second carpark on the left after Rhinefield House.
