26 April Ashlett Creek

Some people claim that we saw 39 different species of birds, I am not sure that we all did!!! The day was clear and bright most of the time - a small shower did threaten - but did not deter 12 members enjoying the walk along Ashlett Creek. The high lights being, Peregrine, close enough to view without binoculars, also a Raven. It was good to see a few migrant birds had arrived including,Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat ,Swallow We also heard a Nightingale. A large group of Jays were seen which was unusual. It was nice to see the leaves turning the trees green at last. The Next Meeting is on 31st May at Lower Test Nature Reserve. Meet at the Salmon Leap Pub at 10 am Brigid
