29th July 2011

Six people enjoyed a heath walk from Bolton's Bench. It was a warm but overcast day.
We saw 19 species of birds, the highlights for me were a family of woodlark, and a kestrel, which seems to be hard to find these days.
The flowers we saw included 3 species of heather, crabapple, milkwort and some tormentil (in there bold yellow. We also saw a grey donkey!!
No date was fixed for the August meeting as it is the bank holiday weekend. It was agreed to discuss the fixture at the next indoor meeting.
