Lymington 28 th Sept
On a sunny September day 8 members enjoyed a walk along the sea wall at
Normandy Marsh/Lymington. The only trouble it was windy. 35 species of birds
were seen, Michaelmas daisies were seen along the bank - broom in flower -
several butterflies were seen, and a roe deer. There were a large number of
different waders seen 30 Turnstones hiding behind pillars on the breakwater,
Greenshank about 15, Widgeon heralding the autumn migration. Parking charges and
the windy conditions ended the walk.
Next meeting 26th October Rhinefield/Blackwater. Meet at Blackwater Car
park 10 am.
