Whitefield Moor Rhinefield Drive - March 2012
Several members experienced a new venue in the New Forest, this week.
It was a bright sunny morning with a light wind.
We managed to see 17 species of birds. Highlights Buzzard, Meadow Pipit, Longtailed Tit,and a little Wren. Other things of interest included, Speckled wood butterfly, lizard, a black beetle, and some minnows in a pool.
Flora, Gorse (which I learnt smelt like coconut!!) violets, and pussy willow.
The next meeting 27th April at Aslett Creek, Fawley
Meet at car park at the Jolly Sailor 10am
