December at Testwood

Six members enjoyed a walk to the hides at Testwood Lakes. Despite the threat of rain we did not get wet!!
We saw 26 different species of birds. The high lights being shellduck, shoveler, white fronted goose, and pochard.
And flora we saw mistletoe in the trees by the car park. A number of catkins which were distributing their pollen, as well as other not so far advanced. Also on a seasonal note we saw red holly berries still on the tree.
The next Meeting 27 January 2012 at Blashford Lakes,
meet at the car park before you get to the Centre
