The June Nature walk
The June Nature walk was a little disappointing
both in terms of the number of members and the number of species of birds
seen.
Two of us enjoyed a walk around Pig Bush. The
birds were scarce we did seen some Stonechats a few pipits (meadow), starlings
crows and the like.
We also saw some orchids which I think were
Southern Marsh. In places the heather was just beginning to
bloom.
The weather was kind to us it stopped raining as we
started walking.
The July Meeting is at Fish Lake Romsey. Meet at
Fish Lake Meadow Road, off Cupernham Lane Romsey on the 26th July
10am.
