Report back from Blashford
A select band of members visited the hides at
Blashford on a chilly February morning.
We saw about 39 species of birds, the high light
was the sight of 3 Bittern. Although some only saw 2 as a kingfisher posed for
photos, close at hand at the same time.
We also observed that some coppicing of some of the
willow trees had taken place. Primroses and snowdrops were seen.
The March meeting is cancelled as it is Easter, so
the next meeting is on the 26th April and will be at Ashlett Creek. Car park by
the Jolly Sailor Pub.
